Sultan's Elephant

This mechanical elephant was made by the Royal de Luxe theatre company. The show where this mechanical elephant was in were to celebrate the centenary of Jules Verne's death. Who this Jules guy? Well, he is a novelist who pioneered the science-fiction genre. He wrote about space, air and underwater travel even before those things ever exist.

This particular show by Royal de Luze, consists of this mechanical elephant, a giant marionette of a girl and other public art. This show was performed at various locations around the world between 2005 and 2006.

This elephant mostly were made out of wood and operated by 22 'manipulateurs' using hydraulics and motors.. It weights as much as 50 tons. Magnificent invention I'd say. Even the trunk is capable of spraying water! Bad news is, this elephant is no longer exists. The company that built it got fed-up of being invited to perform the show around the world and thus destroyed the elephant.

Optical Illusyen

You'd think this is shopped. But they aren't. These two arts were painted onto the walls and roofs to give the optical illusion effect. Stand at the center of the image from far, you'll notice the effect.

Last Resort

A street art of Little People created by Slinkachu. He created it by using railway models (tree, peoples) and half of a tennis ball. Stick the coconut tree in the middle of the tennis ball and place it somewhere in the street puddle with clean water (for reflection effects) and then, put the two reworked railway models (bloated male & female) on top. Viola! There you have it.
