Mother Motherland Calls

This statue in Russia, built in commemorating the Battle of Stalingrad. The largest statue in the world, back in 1967 when it still has not been taken over by religious statues. Measuring 85 meters from the tip of the sword to the top of the statue base. There are 200 steps leading to the statue from bottom of the hill to the monument. The 200 symbolise the amount of days during the Battle of Stalingrad.

On a side note, the sculptor sure is very good with all the little tiny details.
